Luminary - Amsterdam (Smith & Pledger Remix)

I promised this one a while back, a bit before Christmas.

Auditory bliss, I called it. Yes, more of that. Get it from iTunes. Wait for 2:00 or 2:15, and just sit back and listen. It's always the same spots in the same songs that I love. Hamachi has a similar effect on a different sense, and consistently so.

The vocalist is Ashley Tomberlin (didn't look that up until tonight). She's in the same vein as Jan Johnston, Tiff Lacey, or Jes Brieden; among those enthralling vocalists that always sound good. This mix of Amsterdam seems like it wouldn't make the best dance track, but then again, I don't dance to any of it. Maybe it would have a different effect on you.

And once I concentrated on the lyrics, I found that I love them, too.

Solarstone featuring Jes Brieden - Like a Waterfall

Jes Brieden is the haunting voice behind the Motorcycle band, famous for their dance hit "As The Rush Comes." Her ethereal vocals, while lacking lyrical depth, are simply captivating to listen to.

She now has a solo album out entitled "Disconnect," and she's worked with some of the big names in electronica, like DJ Tiesto and Paul van Dyk.

Other great tracks featuring Jes (as she is commonly known) are "Ghost", "Imagination" and "Living the Dream."
